A little bit of Gyaan, that I would give to my 14 year old Jaan!

Here's some piece of advice which I would give to my 14 year old younger self.  1. Ne ver ever let the ‘Chaar Log kya kahenge’ bacteria infect you. Remember what Sandeep bhaiya said, ‘Self Confidence zameen ke andar ghusa hua hota hai’ and this bacteria simply just kills it. And then it takes a whole lot of courage to develop that confidence again. Just follow your heart and do whatever you want. 2. Always keep in mind that you’re different and you are the best whether people like you or not because you are not Rajma Chawal and even if you were Rajma Chawal, then also there are people who love Kadhi Chawal because not everyone has the same taste. You have to be the best version of yourself. 3. If you don’t love maths or science, then don’t opt for it for the sake of your parents. Listen what your gut says and tell your parents about it and go for it because it is a very crucial decision of your life, bs Apni gut instinct kii suno! And still if you can’t figure out what you real

Here's to all my friends!  To all my friends that were once my go-to but now are no longer than a birthday reminder on my phone. To the one's who have held me when I couldn't stand up, to the ones who bear with me and hold me tight when I cry. To the ones that let me fall -some on purpose and others to just see me grow tall.  Here's to all the friends who remember small details about me, to the ones who share me wholesome memes, to the ones who hold me even behind my back.  To the ones who tolerate my humor, to the ones who listen me rant, to the ones who cheer for me and to the ones who speak ill of me before they spoke well.  To all the ones who have been my shopping partners, to the ones who have been my food-buddies, to all the ones who have been my picture partners, to the ones who have lied to me and to the ones who have told me the harsh truths.  Here's to all the friends who I have had for years and to the ones who just walked out as quickly as they walked i

Random thoughts of the day

एक कान से सुनकर,  दूसरे से निकालना बहुत अच्छे से आता है। ग़ैरों का क्या है जनाब, कुछ भी  बोलकर निकल जाए, उनकी परवाह करना किसे आता है।  💁

Not so cute Crushes!

Image
that's the thing about school crushes,  they are cute, they give you butterflies in stomach, they make you smile from within. a small conversation with them, simply makes your day. And if by chance, unknowingly they shower some care, then my heart goes mmmmm mmmm.  everything seems so perfect, the other person does not even have an idea of how much they mean to you and yet without any expectations, you adore them so much.  But everything is not so cute, once we grow up.  because when we grow up, people tend to ignore the fact that these feelings might just be a crush or infatuation, they feel its love and that too true love (sighs!) they let the feelings of jealousy and possessiveness overpower their liking without even realizing the fact that the other person does not even know them properly and yet they tend to have so many expectations from them. And sorry to tell you my dear friend, expectations from unknown are the root cause of disappointments and these disappointments break

Defining Intersectional Feminism

Intersectionality is the ideology which caught very much attention in the last few years. It is a concept which says that all sorts of categorizations  such as cast, creed, race, gender and class are interrelated, operate together and lead to discrimination. It highlights the fact that we generally talk about inequality based on sexuality or class or race, but the reality is that all of these parameters equally contribute in creating the melding experiences of discrimination. Feminism is in the light for promoting the social, political and personal equality of sexes and without the intersectional lens the efforts to tackle injustice against women, all go in vain as it has happened in the past. Feminism makes this movement inclusive, so that the voices of women of all races, religions, and castes are heard.   Various scenarios are recorded in history where women have become a target of concurrent sources of oppression and are still suffering. We all know that women face sexism, but it i

Lessons from my college ...

Image
Every final year student right now:  “ Oh God, College is about to end, we won’t even get a proper farewell” Bringing you the lessons which I learnt in my college (umm actually 2 yrs of college & 2 yrs of corona college, huh!) #1 Not each and everyone who talks to you with a smile, who is polite with you, who considers you literally a bread and applies so much butter everyday, not even the one with whom you talk on a daily basis is your friend. More than half of the people are good to you, just because they know that they will need your help sometime or the other.  #2 Never ever bitch about the person whom you are genuinely friends with.! Even if you fight, sort it out together, there’s no need to find a third person and bitch about your friend because us friend ko Dil se bura lagta haii yaar. #3 You can be betrayed any moment, any time, without any alarm, even from the one whom you think is your bestfriend so keep your eyes and ears always open and DO NOT EVER EXPECT ANYTHING FROM
